Leadership in Community
crossing_threshold_2324.jpg

Barbara, Carolin and Fabien invite you to 7 days of celebration and relaxation as we come together for this magical time of the year. There will be song, dance, creativity and ritual, while also allowing time for a journey of self-reflection, connecting with the stillness found in nature and at the heart of our being. New Year’ Eve is celebrated within the community in our traditional manner, with pure, delightful fun!

Barbara Swetina is masterful at holding sacred space through music, inspiring participants to join in easily at their own level. She celebrates songs and peace dances from around the world, plays many instruments and brought the daily sacred harmony singing into the heart of the community. She teaches internationally.

Fabien Barouch is a pillar of the Findhorn Community, a founding member of the New Findhorn Association (NFA) and an experienced facilitator. He has a passion for nature and loves looking after people.

Carolin Waldmann is an ingenious millennial and has been living in Findhorn since 2019, working for the Global & European Ecovillage Network. She has trained as a Shamanic Practitioner and is currently working closely with Barbara in creating musical offerings both in the role of an event organizer and supporting musician.

Testimonial from a former course participant: "This time has been, as I had hoped, transformational for me. It helped to clarify my next steps, giving me a tremendous boost in practical ways as well, helping me to see the balance between silence and action. Thank you for open heart experiences, singing together these lovely beautiful songs that touch you at the bottom of your soul. I experienced music as as way to connect with emotions, with self, with others, feeling the link between earth and heaven that music allows. I know that I can make a difference, it begins with me, "attitude changes everything”!"

What is different: This is completely a community led initiative and we will be working in collaboration with the New Findhorn Directions (NFD) which will provide the accommodation and the Phoenix Cafe to nourish us with wonderful and delicious meals. We are also stepping up to become the program coordinators, as we did last year for the first time, and we will also have Carolin joining the team, instead of Javier.

A note on course fees, discounts and scholarships: This course is run in the spirit of Service to the Findhorn Principles, following the joyful Spirit in our hearts. Our prices reflect our wish to accommodate different budgets while still being economically viable. We have no funding. We invite you to support us by spreading the word to your friends and by becoming a valued sponsor, paying more than average. Sponsors enable us to offer bursaries. To honour their generosity, they will receive a Findhorn Song CD and signed booklet. In this way we all support each other, thank you!
